Is this a good gaming pc build (this is my first time building)

CPU: AMD skFM2 Athlon II X4 760K CPU Quad Core 3.8GHz Richland Box
Motherboard: Motherboard AMD FM2 mATX MSI FM2-A75MA-P33
Memory: 8GB Corsair Vengeance Jet Black DDR3 PC1600 10-10-10-27 Memory
Storage: wd caviar blue 7200rpm
Video Card: 2GB XFX Radeon R9 270X GDDR5 AMD PCIe 3.0 Video Card
Power Supply: PSU-ATX-High-end Cooler Master B-Series ATX V2.3 500W 85% + Efficiency
Software:windows 8.1

I am planning on upgrading 6 months after i get this build. this is just to play games for now as i need a pc really badly

"Good" is relative to cost. How much money to put that together? Since you're buying Window, that's about USD $100 on top of your components. At very low ends, I usually recommend people buy a cheap PC from Dell or Lenovo or ... since those guys get huge discounts on the components and on Windows as well So they can make and sell low-end PCs cheaper than we can build them from components.

i followed austin evans $600 gaming pc build . he got pretty good frames on bf3 he got 70-80fps on ultra. The only difference i have is he used the athlon 750k while i am using 760k. I am gonn aget a muxh better gaming pc like 6-8 months after i get this one sooo thats why i didn't pay a lot for now.

Oh, but that's bf3, bf4 and newer games are much more demanding, so I still stand by my medium or high settings on new releases

for now i am not gonna play demanding games like gta 5 etc. Foe now i am only gonna play like rust , gmod, mc,the forest.

this is another vid form austin evans but i am gonna get a r9 270x instead of r7 260x and he got 46fps on high on bf4

A r9 270x should be able to play high no probs, but ultra settings is territory for the gods of 770's and r9 280x's
