Will be using for Recording, streaming, and rendering videos, and playing Dayz, minecraft, gmod, left 4 dead 2, league of legends, call of duty, BF4, and some other steam games.

My friends tell me to go AMD but other say to go intel. What ever is going to be best for what I said above.

$950 is max including Operating System.

Right everyone slow down...

First off you FIRST statement is what everyone else seem to be missing, you are recording and streaming, for this you require a more powerful CPU than normal for just gaming(I7 or FX83xx CPU).

IF your budget allows, by all means, go for the I7, however at your current budget I would strongly suggest you go with an AMD 8 core system as recording and streaming on them are considerably better than on an I5.

That being said. This would be my suggestion :

Somethings to note, you CAN drop the GPU to a GTX 770 or R9 280x to free some cash for an SSD and a better CPU cooler for better overclocking.

This is a great build. (You should be able to OC too. )

He needs an OS though... Drop the SSD and it will be almost enough to get the OS.

Alternatively an Intel based I7 system would be better in general, but at more cost or you would need to sacrifice in other areas of the build.

(content deleted). (content deleted). However, if he really doesn't want to he can drop the SSD and get an OS.

You are completely wrong about the CPU. The i5- 4670k is better than the fx- 8350. Need proof? http://cpuboss.com/cpus/Intel-Core-i5-4670K-vs-AMD-FX-8350 . And 8 cores doesn't really make a difference. Stronger cores are more important than more cores.

This is only true for most games. OP will be rendering video and the 8350 is vastly superior here. Also, CPUboss and GPUboss are jokes at best. The do not compare performance at all and we do not recommend them at all for any kind of accurate benchmarks. Sorry, but that link proves absolutely nothing at all.

And as tiny voices mentioned, you are PERFECTLY correct however when it comes to streaming and recording and extreme multithreading, the AMD is superior. These cases are very rare however but they do exist, such as in this case.

But it's more important to focus on the gaming aspect of this build. And encoding is what needs to be done fast for when he is streaming. In that department the i5 will shine. The render times won't be a problem because it's not like he gets money for YouTube and he's not making 2 videos a day so really it doesn't matter.

Not quite. :)

First off, don't make any assumptions. For all you know we could be talking to someone with 500,000 subs on youtube. It has happened here plenty of times.

Also, you cat like the i5 BLOWS AWAY the 8350 in games when in reality the difference is negligible and generally not even noticeable. If he was using a 780ti, yes the i5 would be superior, but with a middle of the road 760, no real difference will be seen.

What's your youtube?

I don't create content on YouTube. :) EDIT : ALthough I would like to, just way to lazy. :D

And Raptr just logs time, nothing more. I could be really bad at the game. :D

But yes i do play A LOT of League of Legends.

Haha ya I know what raptr is because I use it. Do you have a twitch then?
