SLI is only when you need/want more performance.

Advantages:
- Better Performance
- More VRam (Higher Resolution Support) (it's wrong okay I get the point)

Disadvantages:
- More Power Consumption
- More Space Needed
- More Expensive Motherboard Needed
- Good Enough CPU Needed
- Higher Price tag

UPDATE: The 780ti is a great card and it should be able to handle Ultra on any game. The only issue might be that if you're going with higher resolutions you might need more VRam.

DILEMMA TIME

If you have enough cash to spend, the 780 is better
But if you are on a tight budget, the r9 90 won't be bad either, it's just that nvidia cards are more powerful and less power hungry, just make sure you get a good afermarket r9 290
The 780 is for people just want the best of the best for their money, r9 290 are for people on a tight budget

Sli does not necessarily mean better performance. Some games don't support it. Not the case here, but 2 weak cards can lose to a single card.

It doesn't have more vram. If you have a 3gb card and you sli, you still only have 3gb.

Also it doesn't really cost more considering a single card that matches the performance will usually cost more. Not the case here since there is no single card that can outperform it. But you could run into the first issue; no performance gain. Also if you look at it at a performance standpoint, you always pay more for more performance.

Although, in this case, he's picking one of the most powerful cards on the market. 780-SLI shows same or better results in almost all cases on games.

XtremeAero is right except for one point
- More VRam (Higher Resolution Support)

When you SLI or CF cards the data in their VRAM is identical, so if you SLI 2 GTX 780 3GB cards you still only have 3 GB of VRAM since both cards are storing the same amount. SLI/CF is why there are 4GB options for most 2GB cards, that and marketing to dumb people. If you intend to run three screens or 4k you should consider the higher VRAM variants like 6GB 780s, the 4GB on 290s would be sufficient for 4k.

Edit - damn i type slow these days....

That's a really good case. Especially for fans. (it has 140mm which is the best performer in my opinion) It's spacious too. I recommend the black pearl color but that's personal preference so I'll leave that up to you.

The only thing I don't like about this case is that it only has two 5.25" slots. I tend to use more than most though because of fan controllers and multi-card readers but again; just my personal preference.
