Aftermarket coolers vs stock!

Well, I happened to find this older Jungle 512 Thermaltake aftermarket cooler! http://www.amazon.com/Thermaltake-Jungle-CL-P0037-Cooler-Prescott/dp/B0006J1E6E/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top
I'm not interested in actually buying an aftermarket cooler, but out of curisoity will this run cooler then a stock? And is it compatible also with an i5 4690?

Its just a stock intel cooler with a taller fan on it... It wont lower temps much if at all, probably wont fit. I wouldnt bother with it.
Either stick stock, or invest in a good cooler.
EDIT: Not probably, It wont.

No it's not compatible , and would be worst than stock.

Welp, nothing lost then, ty guys. have 4 case fans plus the PSU will be an intake in the case, should be plenty of airflow with stock cooler x) lol. Just worried about the r9 280x vapor, I feel like its gunna add alot of heat but then again maybe not.

As long as you have plenty of airflow it will be fine. 4 fans is a pretty good number depending on the case.

its an older lian-li, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811112040 to be exact. Not too old though. On another forum they said it was plenty of airflow and it fits everything perfectly, plus since its top mounted PSU it will be facing up-side down and it'll help suck a ton of the hot air out, just like an extra exhaust. This all sound good? I've like really been working on getting the best I can while saving a little money here and there for the past 2-3 weeks now

Well thanks so much, its good to hear what others consider and think. Thanks to everyone on the forum I feel like i'll have a nice build that will last me a while! I unfortunately gotta wait till I get financial aid refund from college, which will be about mid-September. So prices will change and videocard/processors may even raise, but lets hope they go down for everyone's sakes, even a little? Lol

I would think so too, but the gtx 770 I had in cart to keep watch of prices, rose about 20 dollars. On all sellers actually. Even the r9 280x did :/. Hoping they go back down but might as well just wait and see.
