I'll make the story short. I tried overclocking my CPU and failed. There is a constant beep and default settings on bios didnt change anything. so now I have no choice but to reset it manually. Only problem is, where do I find the button/jumper or even battery to reset it? I cant find it anywhere.

The battery is under the PCI-E 1x slot. If you have a two slot video card you probably have to remove it to find the battery.

The battery is located next to the pci-e 1x slot, if you have a graphics card installed you will need to remove that first to access it.
The reset jumper is the 2 little pins (black) to the left of the sata ports just above the power/hd led pins.

You don't need to remove the battery. Just use the reset jumper.

Can you circle out the area where the jumpers are on the mobo picture please

jumper doesn't work on all boards so the best and simplest way is to remove the bios battery for 5 min and put it back and bios is reseted..

It's labelled CLR_CMOS. This jumper has always worked just fine on my Gigabyte m/b. It's certainly worth trying first as it saves a lot of messing about removing the battery,

Your m/b manual should give you this information and will have a diagram showing the locations of the various jumpers.

Edit: Note that you should remove the power cord before resetting the CMOS.

I found the CLR_CMOS area but in confused on what to put and put back. All I see are wires.

Just use a flat-bladed screwdriver to short the two pins on that connector. Hold it in place for about 5 seconds (remember to unplug the power cord first!). Then power back on and it should go into the BIOS setup screen.

An easier option would be to just unplug either the power or reset wires from the motherboard and use that on the clear cmos pins and then press which ever botton you used, saves the hassle of trying to get a screwdriver in there. And yes make sure the power to the pc is disconnected first.

Why unplug the pc? I always cleared cmos with the pc still plugged in, I just turn off the pc first. (I also made a handy tool by taping a screw to the end of a pen, with the screw head facing outwards to reach in and short the clear cmos pins.)

Fairly obvious really.

Anyway, that's what the m/b manufacturers say, so spend the two seconds that it takes to do so. It'll save a lot of heartache should the screwdriver touch the wrong contacts.

If it was obvious I would not be asking. Thank you for answering though.

You do it because that's what the manufacturer says to do. They probably know better than you.

No, I think the subject has been covered fairly comprehensively and there seems to be almost unanimous agreement on the recommended procedure.

I'm sorry, but I can't sensibly claim to offer better advice than the manufacturer. But you're welcome.
