Graphics Memory Problem

I have HP Envy laptop with AMD+Intel Switchable graphics. One is 7850M and the other is Intel 4000. Recently I did a recovery and downloaded the latest Intel and AMD graphics drivers. Everything seems to work perfectly... except I have a very unusual problem with my Intel card this time.

I have this racing game called 'Race 07' in my steam. So when I downloaded it and tried to run the game, for the first time ever an error pops up saying I don't have more than 32mb of video memory.

Look at my screenshot:

I can't even play that racing game anymore. What do I do?

First of all you need to TOTALLY remove all the old drivers. Use this link.

Note:
Select the respective company(i.e Intel or ATI) drivers to be uninstalled.
Use clean and restart option.
And then install the new drivers after rebooting.

It's what most people use to do an easy completely clean driver uninstall. Simply using an manufacturer uninstaller will not delete everything.

Also, OP, use that program in safe mode.

Funny, haven't run into it. I tend to just use Revo, as it does a good job uninstalling anything.

Ok so I did a complete system recovery, re-installed everything again and for a while everything worked well - the Intel card's memory was showing 760MB memory. Now, for no apparent reason it says 3MB again. Oddly, I can run the 07 racing game and everything else without errors this time.

But what the heck? Could it be some software/drivers that are interfering with this? How do I find out?
