NEED HELP!! Should I buy a used msi 290x?

So I have the chance to buy a used MSI 290x for 400$ and I intend to build a new rig based off of it but it was used for mining at one point. I'm going to attach 2 links one describing the conditions it was used under and a picture of the card it self. I am going to meet up with the guy tmrw and he said he would have a test bench to show me that it works.. What tests should I have him run with the card and is there anything else I should ask him to do with the card.. Any suggestions opinions or otherwise are incouraged thanks guys hope you can help me out.

well... mining cards are a bit tricky - as they are often heavily abused by running 24/7 at max speeds...
so it will be a lottery, personally I wouldn't touch a mining card with a 10 inch pole, but then again - if you manage to take good care for it and don't care if it croaks in a year, six month or even tomorrow, then get it :D

I forgot one piece of key information he still has the original factory warranty along with the box and all the insides..... And I spelled encouraged wrong and its bothering me sorry its late

to tell you the truth i dont think amd will cover that if it fails for 1 their not ment to be under than much stess amd will only replace it if the hardware fails and mining is not part of that i dont think

i alos wouldt beleave he didt use that at full load at bitcoin mining
