Hi guys, so I bought a new desktop computer from https://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/ and it arrived a few days ago. it did not have a wireless adapter so i decided to buy a USB adapter which (I was told) is the fastest at 300Mbps. My download speed fluctuates between 0.1 - 0.5 Mbps (megabits) on this new computer, according to this website http://gadgetshow.channel5.com/adv/broadbandspeedtest. Also my computer's internet is incredibly slow and shows network error when I try to download anything. On my laptop, my download speed is around 6.5Mbps and does not have a slow internet. Me and my family are very frustrated as we have just spent £700 on a computer(including desk, chair, adapter, monitor etc) that isn't doing anything, not to mention the fact that we have no idea what is going on. If you do decide to answer please keep it simple because I'm only fifteen and I have no clue how all this works.
Thankyou :) -Sam

Model of this wireless card is? If you have Windows OS please install inSSIDer application and check signal level from your main router. I like to see screen shot from NETWORK tab.

No need. I looked on the side of the box for the adapter and it said the same as on the website, my mistake of course, thanks for your time
