I created my first build recently, below are the specs
CPU: AMD Athlon X4 750K 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor
Mobo: Gigabyte GA-F2A78M-D3H Micro ATX FM2+ Motherboard
RAM: Kingston HyperX Fury 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1866 Memory
GPU: XFX Radeon R9 270 2GB Double Dissipation Video Card
PSU: Raidmax 530W Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply

I took the necessary precautions while building the system - booted it outside the case first, made sure all the connectors are in place, etc.

I seem to have a strange problem - when I connect my system to the monitor and boot it up it gives me a blank screen with a pointer (single short beep from mobo speaker). However, when I remove my GPU and reboot the system the mobo gives me 2 long beeps and 1 short beep (which I am expecting is some sort of failure) and no video as usual.

Can anyone help me in deciphering what the problem could be with my system? I just hope that none of my parts are faulty (fingers crossed).

Thanks in advance.

Solution
I took the motherboard to the service center and they upgraded the BiOS, which gave me video from my Graphics Card. Also, as I am using a X4 750K, I won't get any on-board video as the processor does not have a graphics core.

So problem solved. :D

No, it's 1 long and 2 short for sure. And, I already did all those things mentioned in the post to no luck. Still no change in the boot sequence.

The post code doesn't match any bios in wiki.

http://extremespec.net/gigabyte-ga-f2a78m-d3h-review-design-testing-performance/ says "2 x 64 Mbit AMI UEFI BIOSPnP 1.0a, DMI2.0, SM BIOS 2.6, ACPI 2.0A" - AMI bios.

If its 3 beeps, its a memory error. Check your ram with memtest86
