looking for a solution for my pc's freezing issue

I have an IBM thinkpad R60e but lately, it started freezing some minutes after being powered on. the mouse and keyboard stop working, desktop becomes static and the only solution is to turn it off.

Not trying to be a dick or something but this is one of the many reason I would never recommand anyone buy a pre built PC like HP, Dell, IBM.... they suck, and stop working faster than a machine with quality hardware(and less bloatware) would......

Anyway, I would just do a fresh install. Put whatever stuff you want to keep on a USB or something and just start all over.
