ok so i recently bought a new computer and well we built it all but then realised it would close off for 3 seconds and restart and then do that infinetly . but we established that was the powersupply because my friends 500w instead of 430w didnt do that when we swapped it out . but now we dont get any video from videocard or motherboard and it is not the screen because it worked with my older computer/ ps3 . the videocard is well placed the monitor is plugged but it does not detect it.
could it be my monitor is not compatible (sounds stupid but w/e ) or is the mobo dead?

"monitor wont even detect anything itsays no input signal " the wires are all setup so its wether my motherboard is dead :c or monitor is being a douche because my monitor still conecting to my laptop

More about : motherboard dead

You're plugging the monitor into the GPU and not the mobo, yes? It's a common mistake :p
If you are, I'll suggest some more things for you to try. :)

Sorry if I offended you dude :(  just a lot of people make that mistake.
Does the PC seem to boot up fine otherwise? Do you see the motherboard splash screen or absolutely nothing?
Could indeed be a dead mobo. The monitor is on the right input yes? :p
You didn't take the CPU in and out during this time by any chance? I sold a motherboard to someone today that was perfect, then they came back demanding a refund and I noticed they had bent the pins. He was scary so I had to give him his money back and now I have a dead motherboard :L That's probably not your issue, though.

It's possible that the constant shutdowns from your other PSU has fried your motherboard, too. Have you tried booting without the GPU and using the onboard video?

you havent offended me ;p but yeah i have tried the motherboard and cpu alone its definetly not the cpu nor the graphics card. my guess is it is the motherboard but you can help me with 1 more thing. not sure if i should go to the computer store and show them and they might be able to fix it or just take out everything and pack the mobo and return it or show them what it does.

Where did you buy your parts from? It might be best to give them the Mobo, CPU and even RAM just so they can figure out exactly what is going on. I do believe it's the motherboard though :(
I think taking it to a computer store would be a good idea. They'll be able to tell you what's going on for sure :)

Yeah, that kinda sucks but now it's all good! great to hear. I sold someone a $115 dollar motherboard and they bent the socket pins then forced me to give them a refund, so don't feel too bad about your loss! :p
Please consider picking my answer if I helped c:
