I am having problems trying to correct a screen display error. Everything on the screen is too big, the windows, buttons and the text. It is so large that I cannot make any changes because I cannot see the APPLY,OK, SAVE OR RESET buttons at the bottom of the screen.

The clock date and time keeps changing back to 2006 and I can't save any changes because I can't get to the reset button. I am using my a computer that was my sister's and she had a software program loaded on it called 24x7 and I thought it was a Microsoft service to I contacted them for help. They let me think they were officially going to help me with my problem and showed me a whole lot of errors and problems on my computer and told me they could fix it all for $300. When I told them I did not have that kind of money and all I wanted was to fix my screen size, the techie seemed pissed and hung up. But he left my machine worse off than before.

The window size and the text is even larger, and the whole computer is acting up. I keep getting error messages from Chrome when I try to get onto websites warning me that the site may not be authentic. And I believe they are still remotely controlling and redirecting my movements. Can anyone help me to:
1. Fix my screen resolution, and
2. tell me what I can do to fix any problems these possible hackers have done and protect my personal information. Thank you.

Once you change your resolution you can press Alt + A on the keyboard to apply the settings.

As far as 24x7 goes, you can try using this Automated Removal section of this guide:
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/virus-removal/remove-24...

The tools used will also help remove any other malware that is probably on the machine.
