Hi, I was wondering which of the two graphics cards would be able to give me a higher performance on the following games, paired with the i7 4790k.

The games:
Minecraft with a modpack such as FTB Unleashed, and shaders installed
War Thunder
DayZ
Spore

Thanks for the help!

Also, would either of these cards get me 80+ fps on these games with max settings?

EDIT: Also, I dont want any suggestions for other graphics cards, and I do not want to upgrade to the 800 series.

Solution
As you can see here, the 770 is better for resolutions under 4k, but the increased VRam gives the 280X the edge at 4k.
You probably wouldn't be playing at 4k though, so I suggest the 770, or the 870 if you can wait a couple months. :)

go for gtx 770. It is fast for first or third person shooter. Consumes less power. 280x may give performance which use larger vram or high resolution big screens. gtx 770 is well optimized.
i have not tested all these games.

As I am a amd gpu user owning a sapphire toxic 280x I would have to say you should go with the asus because of the three gigabytes of ram. If you play battlefield 4 you should have 3 gigabytes of ram and the new mantle api looks promising!

^ did you not just read what I said, haha.
Never trust people who suggest things that they have. No offence TheAquaNinja. It's just very common for people to like to suggest what they have to make themselves feel good about their purchase.
The 280X is a great card, and the 3GB of VRAM will future proof it a little more than the 770.
But the 770 performs better in most if not all games that are out right now.
