I bought this headset a couple of months a go from Amazon because they were on sale for $50. So far however, I am not impressed. My biggest issue is the speakers sound very loud when I got pass 1/4 of the volume. I have to lower the volume to almost nothing for people not to hear my noise. My ipod headphones sound better and do a better job than this...at least I can increase the volume high and people won't hear me. Another issue is the sound seems to "leave" at time, I made sure everything was plugged in and they were, also the surround isn't that great. This is my first headset so I have no knowledge or anything to compare it to. Is this normal or did I get a bad headset?

I think I might look into something a little better quality even if it's more expensive. I'll try to keep it around $130, let me know if you have suggestions.

Doesn't sound normal at all, can you return it?
It's supposed to be a great headset.
The Steelseries Siberia V2 is a great pair of cans, if you just want to replace them :)

Not sure, I'll check Amazon return policy I guess. Nah I don't think I can, it's simply been too long. Actually I may be able to do something here, you see...my package didn't arrive in 2 weeks so I had to call and tell them and they send me a new pair; this was done on July 6 and they arrived on July 8. July 8 was the last day for the return policy, but since they were here late that's kind of stupid...it expired on the same day I got them...so I don't know maybe I can use that, but I still think it's simply been too late.

Oh. The headphones themselves should still be covered by logitech though, could you be bothered to send them in for a warranty claim?

Okay :)
Sorry to hear you've been having problems with it. Shit happens.
I sold someone a motherboard today and they came back to my house saying I'd ripped them off and it doesn't work, he intimidated me and made me give him a refund. Then I noticed he had pent the pins on the socket. So now I have a dead $100 motherboard. So don't feel too bad about your situation! :p
