Hello people, I have a question. I never owned an SSD and I am thinking of buying an Intel SSD for my PC, but I am not sure how exactly it works and if my mobo supports it. I have an MSI 760GM-E51 Mobo, it supports sata but what about the performance? I read something about AHCI mode but I have no idea what it is. Could you please enlighten me?

yes your mobo will support ssd. SSDs are sata 3 they are backward compatible also. Speed difference between sata 3 and sata 2 is barely noticeable. It only visible in bench marking tests. Try to buy lower priced ssds.
