Hi there recently i upgraded my gaming build with a zalman z9 plus case. Initially i noticed a bizarre venting system (shown at the bottom of this page : http://www.bjorn3d.com/2011/04/zalman-z9-plus-mid-tower-case/ ) and everything was ok. A day later i returned to my pc and noticed an incredibly loud fan on; after checking all the fans i found it was the PSU fan and that the PSU was very hot due to it effectivly intaking hot air it had been blowing a against the solid (ish) bottom of the case. To combat this, i turned the PSU around so the intake fan would face upwards instead. This initially worked very well but as my GPU got hotter it pushed hot air into the PSU intake fan, making it slightly (but not as badly) noisy as before. Earlier today i opened the fan vents much more with a knife and twisted the gaps to achieve actual ventilation and now my PC. Now my PC is fairly quiet again but i cant help but wonder if my PSU is going to get hot and noisy again. What should i do?
