Hello,
After searching around, I couldn't really find any information for this particular case of mine.

In the bios of my Asrock Fatality z87, there are 4 settings for me to use to set speed for my cpu fan, which is the Phanteks PH TC 14PE
running on a i5 4670k.

The 5 selections are as follows:
Customise
Silent Mode
Standard mode
Performance mode
Full Speed

I've got no idea what these mean without actually having the rpm of the fans for each of those settings.

Now since the standard setting was selected by default, the fans have been running on what I assume to be on full power... however, the Standard Mode seems to give me around 1350rpm.
So I decided to select the Customise option.

This sets me with 4 custom CPU temperatures and a corresponding cpu fan speed(%)
Eg:
CPU Temperature 1 : 50 C/122F
Fan Speed for CPU Temp 1 : 65%

CPU Temperature 2 : 60 C
Fan Speed for CPU Temp 2 : 70%

CPU Temp 3 : 70 C
Fan Speed 3 : 75%

CPU Temp 4 : 75 C
Fan Speed 4 80%

What would be an optimum setting for these 4 speeds/temps, so my fans aren't running furiously?
I've not overclocked yet so the CPU is at a constant 25-35 C with the fans running at 1350rpm(on average)

I've downloaded Speedfan and (sort of) tried fiddling with it but there was no change in fan speed. Or maybe I was using it wrong.

Any idea about default speeds as the cpu temp goes up instead of manually doing it?
