AMD FX 6300 (Black edition) reaches 70 degrees during gaming..I am using MSI 970 Gaming Motherboard and a stock cooler (will be upgrading to an aftermarket cooler soon)....

Till then will I be able to play games with such high temperatures on the CPU??

Note: idle temp is 30-34 degrees

It is a little high and I would get a cooler for it sooner rather than later.

Its VERY high, I would not use it in such a condition.

Your idle is OK but that doesn't matter as your temp with load is on the very high side. I'd not play on it until I get a cooler.

Is the Cooler Master Hyper evo sufficient for this?? (Cannot go more than that in my budget)

Yes it will manage. CM hyper evo is a really decent budget cooler and if budget is a constraint, there's nothing better than this one in this price range($20-30).

The temps are not high enough to cause any real damage in the short term but if you use the CPU like that for years then damage might accumulate. The CPU will shut down before it reaches a temperature that can cause damage in the short term. So you will be fine playing your games like that until you get a new cooler.

It is package temp, core temp not over 62C.

I am sorry...but i cannot understand this point (package temp,etc.)...
Open Hardware Monitor shows around 30 degrees during ordinary work and around 65-70 during gaming...

Actually i found out a tiny sticky patches on the motherboard just behind the cpu holder...and a little melting in one of the rubber screw caps...I guess its not normal :-(

It might be getting hotter than 70c. Rubber won't melt at 70c. I think you might have a defective CPU if it's getting hot enough to melt rubber or even hard plastic.

Total CPU temp versus temp on an individual core.

there is 3 things that can be the reason:
1. Have U Overclocked the cpu ?
if yes please restore the default settings in BIOS ,if not make sure that case have a good airflow.

2. What is the thermal compound that u have ?
thermal compound can be very effective in cpu temp

3. have u cleaned the cpu cooler from dust ?

I have disabled AMD TurboCore Features and now things are fine...no overclocking on my part and no dust as it is brand new...But TMPIN1 is invariably >50 degrees...is that ok??
