Specs: mobo= ASRock Z77 Extreme 4; CPU=Intel Core i5 3450 quad core; memory=Crucial 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3 1333; HD= WD Caviar Black 1TB OS =Win 7; CPU Cooler Cooler Master Gemini.
Case=China made no brand name.

This is my 2nd ASRock Mobo. 1st one was DOA. Mobo worked and did well for a while. My video card was DOA but that is another issue. I am using onboard graphics. I have a goal of a good gaming setup and a reliable full tower ATX desktop.

About one month ago, the computer began to act up and strangely started operating on its side but not standing up. After a lot of juggleing, I decided that something was loose. So after reseating everything, I got a DrDebug d6 and 5 beeps with my monitor reading no signal. So I took everything apart and reseated everything. Took out the CMOS battery and began to add components. I now have the ?CPU seated, thermal paste added and cooler seated, and memory sticks added. Now I get d7 no beeps and no signal to monitor.

Am I looking at another bad mob or what

I am reading you junkeymonkey. I put the doggle back in the computer and the d7 went away with no beeps. the d6 is back and the monitor reads no signal. Is there a way to get the monitor working or is this another ASRock bad mobo?
BTW the drdebug in my manual is not the same as found on the web site. I would like to download the full code. The website doesn't seem to be working.

so you got the monitor plugged in to the dvi of the board to use the on chip graphics?? if so check to se if the intel graphics driver is installed ---- if the monitor is plugged into the dvi of the card then it may be the card but if it displays the bios and then goes black under windows or it displays under windows safemode then it may be the amd driver issue

Well, I read up on Flashing Bios. I look at this as a later step.
What I did was re-install the CMOS battery after having it out for 24 hours. I still get d6. I made a rescue CD and I need to hook up the hard drive and the optical drive. Before I do that, do any of you experts think of any thing else I need to do while I only have the cooler, cooler fan and the CPU and doogle hooked up?

well I don't know what your manual states but heres the codes from asrock on that board unless its a lie

d6--- The VGA could not be recognized. Please clear CMOS and try re-installing the VGA card. If the problem still exists, please try installing the VGA card in other slots or use other VGA cards

d7--- The Keyboard and mouse could not be recognized. Please try re-installing the keyboard and mouse

so what vid-card and keyboard do you got ??

Thanks Carlo. Could you walk be through this flashing process? Keep in mind that I have no capability on the desktop and will have to use my laptop to download anything.
