i5 4690k+R9 270x or FX-6300+R9 280x For 3D modelling and light gaming?

Solution
If you are into overclocking thing then grab i7 4790k otherwise I would recommend Xeon CPU from Intel. Xeon does not have built-in GPU whereas i7 (haswell +)series CPUs have HD series GPUs in them. Thus Xeon is cheaper than i7 series but it offers the same performance. It is quad core with total eight threads like the i7 series (haswell +)

Editing and modelling is CPU bound tasks and will consume CPU resource at their max. So you need powerful CPU with powerful cores with hyper threading.

If you are not buying discrete GPU now then you would have to buy i7 4790k for sure.

Oh really? I thought the i5 would perform fine for editing and modelling. Anyways, would you recommend getting an i7 4790k for the meanwhile to do some computer aided design then maybe get a discrete GPU later?
