Earlier today while I was playing CS:GO my screen just started showing these weird flickering lines then it suddenly just blue screened. When i rebooted my computer the flickering lines were present the entire time and my resolution was reduced to 640x480. In the device manager it says for my graphics card (a gtx 460) "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)" I've tried uninstalling the drivers and then installing the latest ones. I desperately want to fix this. If this is of any help whenever I try to start up a game it simply doesn't open (csgo, league of legends). The flickering lines are still present and I don't know how to get rid of them.

Any help will be greatly appreciated!! Thank you!

I removed the card and cleaned the fan and the area around it. When I was connecting the card back into the motherboard I noticed that part of the gold connecting bit seemed to be missing. Could this contribute to the problem?

Cleaning the fan hasn't resolved the problem. :( I have never had a problem like this is the 4 years of having this computer. I'm considering taking the computer to get fixed at a store but that is a last resort. The GPU fan seems to be running fine. Any other ideas?
