LGA 771 processor in 775 socket?

I have an old Dell Optiplex GX620 lying around and wanted to upgrade it to a quad core Intel Xeon processor, I have ordered a LGA 771 to 775 Adapter but was wondering if Intel XEON E5405 cpu would work with my motherboard. Thanks in advance

I notice no one has responded. Did you ever try the adapter for this modification? I too have an old Dell Optiplex GX620 (MT) and have purchased the adapter to attempt modifying my machine to utilize a Xeon X5460 processor.
