I have a friend that wants a good starter gaming pc for around $500 he wants the most bang for his buck
He wants to be able to run games such as dayz standalone, arma II, minecraft, good, and other games at medium settings.
He wants this to be an amd build.
He already has a minister, keyboard and mouse. All he needs is the pc components and OS.
Any help will be appriceated.

It would be seriously tough to get that at a $500 price point if he has to buy an OS as well, you factor in the price of the OS and your looking at a $400 pc which might push medium in some older games though im not sure with dayz standalone he would have to back the resolution down from 1080p

It's a very tight budget with the cost of Windows factored in, but her's what I came up with.

+1 this is almost identical to what i was putting together

Yep. On a $400 budget, there isn't much room for choices in parts.

I personally would push this a little more.
