graphics card makes weird aliengun noise while taking furmark !!!

lol, by aliengun noise i mean a really weird noise like vrrrrrr !!! it makes it loudly with furmark off MSAA it makes ALMOST no noises at 8xmsaa, im sure its GPU. amd not fans, i turned fan 100% and llistened to it it doens't make that noise,

also when using fulscreen mode it doens't make that weird noise, it still makes a slight noise, which can't be easily heard. that it also makes on games!!!!!

is this normal and i shouldn't worry? that happenes Horribly when oc is on,

my oc is 1170 core and 1225 memory. more core makes my furmark fail to start(only black screen and not responding) more memory is fine but temp reaches near 78 !!!!! so its not safe !!!

78C is fine for a gpu.

if you're talking about a harmonic buzzing noise that's called "coil whine"... it happened to both amd and nvidia gpus... pretty randomly... it has to do with the composition of the ceramic they use and the composition of the pcp board... and from time to time the ceramic in the compacitors will vibrate according to certain frequencies of electricity running through them, hit the pcb board and create a "harmonic" whining noise that's rather irritating.

for example, power color's r9-280 and r9-290 lineups of gpus both tend to do this... the power color hd 7870xt also was famaous for this... their misfortune for using those specific compactors with those boards. Generally this is a bit more random then this... with cards from both companies occasionally being randomly struck by this issue... however power color certainly had this issue recently with most of the cards they put out.

on the bright side the problem does go away with time... just put up with it and down the road it will stop doing... or you can return the card and hope a new one doesn't have that issue.

so, if the sound doesn't bother me i just keep it?!

also i gave up the oc, the 3dmark sky dive just freezed the video but audio was keep playing, every 10mhz added like 10 seconds further into benchmark i just relied i can't oc this card ! eventually it will make benchmark freeze !

mine is Gigabyte R7 250x OC Version !!! had some problems with it on linux, but dont think its gpu's fault, my old 7750(dead now) didn't have this problem as remember, but also made the noise, and few days ago it died thats why i worried about this one's noise !

if you're getting graphic glitchs you're not using a stable overclock... furthermore the r7-250 doesn't have a lot of overclock headroom... it's not a wonderful overclocker (nothing like the old hd7750 you had, that card could overclock rather well)... so i'm not sure how hard you can push that card, it's doubtful it will support an amazing overclock.

as for your noise issue... yes... if it's coil whine then it's nothing to worry about. It's just one of those random things that can happen from time to time. Your temps are high but not too high to worry about either.

my temps wont pass 68 at games, it only gets high at furmark, also it only gets that high with OC near 1170 , without it i guess it still wont reach past 70 !!!

i was just ocing for fun, wasted my whole day on it, kinda spent 5 hours !

i never got any glitches, i just got freeze or crash at 3dmark, not furmark btw, furmark wont start past 1175 !

well then you know it's not a stable overclock don't you? :D

anyway nvidia actually throttle their gpus down when furmark is running with their graphic drivers... the fear is it will overheat and break their gpus... furmark really is unforgiving to gpus... so i'm not sure how useful it is.

i was disappointed, i thought i atleast get 1150 ! but anyway i will try 1100, but i don't think 80mhz will give me more than 1 fps, not even 1fps, but 3dmark bench takes SO Long its not good to increase 10mhz and wait like 5mins for bench !!

i thought its gonna oc more than 7750 ! but anyway thanks, i now kinda wish i paid 30$ more for gtx 750 ti !:( or atleast 750!

and im never gonna use it again than !
