Hey all,

I'm going to build a PC aimed at gaming at 1080p/60fps on a single monitor with no plans of overclocking. How does this setup look?

With no overclock, you can save money by getting a 4690 (non-K) CPU and B85 or H97 board. Then you could perhaps trim the SSD down to 120 GB and use the extra money towards a GTX 780.

Well, this is a waste of money if you are not overclocking.

Get a non-K CPU, and an h97 motherboard.

Use the saved money to bump up to an r9 290 (better than the 770) and an XFX 650w PSU (better than the Corsair)

He cannot use a b85 motherboard. It will not come shipped with the necessary BIOS update to see that Haswell-Refresh CPU and will not even boot up.

With a non-K CPU, an aftermarket cooler is not necessary.

An aftermarket cooler would keep temperatures down though.

Something simple like a Hyper tx3 would be fine, but is certainly not needed.
