Hey, I'm running a AMD FX-6300 with a MSI 970a-g46 mb.With my stock cooler the cpu temp was about 32c idle and 45c full load.I bought an aftermarket cooler (Coolermaster TX3 Evo) and now it idle's at 40c and full load 50c, witch is very very weird. The cpu fan is set to 100% and it is installed
correctly to.Any help?
Thanks.

No way is it installed correctly. My best guess is that the thermal paste isn't properly applied, or that maybe you hooked the fan up the wrong way round.

Your temps were fine to start with why did you buy a after market cooler?

Help... redo the paste.

Maybe the cooler base is not straight (flat). You can check it with a rooler:

The TX3 is not that much better than the stock unit, imho, its basically a stock replacement. But it is better, so you should be seeing either the same or sligjtly better temps, not worse. As said, the fault is probably installer error either in paste or install. 1 grain of rice, cooler applied gently, then tightened in a figure eight pattern, NOT a circular one, each screw 1/4 turn until painful on the fingertips.

As far as the fan goes, check not only the orientation but also bios/software settings, and pin seating

Well I did reapply the paste, the cpu still idles at 41c but full load 45c so its basically the same thing as my previous cooler.
But my friend have a Fx8350 with the same cooler and he gets 30c idle and 40c full load. If you need to know I have 3 Aerocool Shark 120mm fans (2 blowing onto the cpu) on top and 1x 140mm exhaust blowing in.The cooler is positioned horizontal with the fan on the bottom.

Aftermarket cooler is quiet, which means that its fan is spinning at lower rpm. That is why the temperature is higher but the noise is lower. You can try setting the fan to the max speed (if it is limited to the speed which is lower than its max capable). But you don't have to do this because the temperatures are fine.

Also, CPU temperature depends of the ambient temperature. So, if your friend's room (more precisely air in his computer case) is lower than yours, than he will have lower temperatures on his CPU.

Either the repaste is still wrong, or the cooler is still not tightened correctly. 41° idle and 45° load? What load? Prime95 will run all 6 cores, most games only 1-2. Run prime95, small fft, with coretemp or realtemp. If 1-3 of your cores show markedly higher temps, then either paste is wrong, or more likely the cooler is not seated correctly.

hwmonitor isn't that good. It was written 20 years ago for boards that no longer exist and is not updated. Use CoreTemp or RealTemp, which actually measure the cpu cores temps and not the socket as they are linked to bios. You'll also be able to read each individual core, so it becomes quite obvious if paste or seating is a problem as 1-3 cores will be significantly higher, which will throw your average way off.
