I have G-Skill 8GB Ripjaws X DDR3 2133 Dual Kit, both of my sticks in my kit are connected to the same coloured slots (A1 and B1) on my motherboard.

My motherboard is an Asus M5A78l-M. I did some quick research and it said its compatible with dual channeling along with my ripjaws ram.

However when I get up Speccy it tells me my 8gb of ram is a single channel instead of a dual channel.

Would appreciate help on this matter.

Did you purchase the RAM together or separately?

what he meant was it a 4x2 kit or did you buy 2 individual sticks of the same ram? The kits are meant for dual channel, the singles are luck of the draw.

Is dual channel enabled in the bios?

It was purchased as part of a dual kit.

Here is the one I bought - http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0050119O0/ref=oh_au...

Also, I haven't checked. I'm not sure how to enable it in the BIOS (If it isn't enabled) because I am relatively new to computers
