I have just built a new PC with a $1500 budget. Next I am looking to upgrading my peripherals.
I want to do a setup with a 1440P monitor alongside a 1080P monitor. Only question is, is my system enough to handle running games at 1440P (I will only use my 1080P monitor for streaming the internet while I play games). Here is my setup-

What is your guys opinion on the matter? The only reason I don't have a 780 is because I already had one 760 lying around, so I went ahead and bought another.

if u are planning to run games in dual monitor dont because the corsair of the game will be in the middle of the point where you join the two monitor so either go with triple monitor setup or stay with a single monitor..

gtx 760 sli will outperform the gtx 780...and he is going to sli that means 2 + 2 = 4gb vram...better than the gtx 780 3 gb vram for larger resolutions...

okk i agree that adding up part for the vram was crap :p  but still the 760 sli is better than the gtx 780 and it will cost him much less as he have to buy just a single card ...

True, but upgrade options in the future will be very grim, unless he wants to 3 way sli

yea with sli or Cf there is always a baggage more heat , more power ,unstabe micro shutter ,not all games support sli in that case manually adjust settings etc.....i can understand what are u trying to say if he had a gtx 780 then in future when he is getting poor performance with it then he can sli another gtx 780 but at that time there will be gtx 800 series for that :)  u get my point ??

Solid rig with good cpu/gpu oc.16gb ram has no advantage over 8gb for gaming so in less you have a reason outside of gaming you can go down to 8gb if you're trying to save some cash.

I mostly agree. But the issue is that games are already starting to use 8GB and above of RAM, such as Crysis 3 and Watch_Dogs. I basically want to make my PC "Future Resistant".

Watch_Dogs and Crysis 3 has zero performance increase with 16gb of RAM I double checked in several places just to be sure. Your 2gb VRAM on your GPUs will surely be filled prior to exceeding 8gb of ram.

Example: Titanfall maxed uses just about all the 3gb VRAM my 780ti offers but system ram is at most slightly over 5gb and never higher than that.
