Hi all

Need some advise on getting a new graphics card as my old GTX 460 died last weekend.

PC specs
CPU: i5-760 quad core 2.8GHz
MB: Asus P7P55 LX P55 Socket 1156
Ram: OCZ DDR3 2133MHz
PSU: Coolermaster 550W

I want to spend around £150 - £200 and have been looking at MSI GeForce GTX 760 1085MHz 2GB PCI-E 3.0 HDMI Gaming TwinFrozr OC but am unsure if it is worth spending that much on a card when my system is nearly four years old.

Will I get the most out of a card like that or am I better buying a cheaper card like 600 series card and saving some money?

Thanks
Ross

An i7 CPU of the same architecture can run a GTX 770 with minimal bottlenecking. My CPU hardly breaks out a sweat on a GTX 660, so given your PSU, that would be your best option since it only requires a 450w PSU. Your PSU may struggle on a 760, though, since it requires more power than its predecessor.
