Hey guys, planning on doing a massive upgrade for my coming the end of this August. Right now my computer is almost all stock with an Nvidia GTX 650 ti as an exception. My current mother board / CPU is as follows:
AsusTek CG1330
AMD Phenom(tm) II X6 1035T (2.60 GHz :/ )
I'd like to upgrade to to something with at least 3.50 GHz or possibly more, i've been looking at AMD FX-8350 Black Edition 4.0GHz. Would my motherboard support this? I can't find any information on their website.
Or would it better to start fresh with a better mother board?

The 8350 has the same cpu socket, but contact asus to see if there is a download needed to update the BIOS. The 760 chipset can support AM3+.

Thanks so much for the information, i was wondering about this for the past week and didn't want to make the mistake of buying the wrong CPU. If the post is still up by the time i purchase the CPU ill keep you posted :] Have a great one.

As a quick side question, what do you mean by AM3+?

That refers to the cpu socket. AM 3 for your Phenom cpu and AM3+ for the FX series cpu.
