hi
don't want to bore you so gonna make it quick !
got an N56JR laptop , windows 8.1 (not alot of windows updates !) and a GeForce GTX760m ...

so every thing was fine until my windows stopped my GTX760m on bootup , i could disable and enable it from Device Manager it would start working again but there was no nvidia control panel and no switching between intel and nvidia , like the gpu was functional but the software couldn't support it ! now the windows won't stop the GPU at startup but still no software support ! and no switching !

after alot of searching (A LOT !) apparently this laptop have this problem with 8.1 a lot !! as it turns out i should update BIOS for windows 8.1 software-hardware support !

the thing is i don't want to make things worst ! updating BIOS , is it something tricky ? can it make things worst !?! and if it's alright how can i do it ?

the drivers are up to date - can't use nvidia's drivers this laptop only support Asus Drivers (the very root of the problem !) takes 15 sec for a desktop right click menu to show (after unistalling nvidia dirvers or disabling GTX760m it shows quickly !)

help plz !

so did you uninstall the drivers for the 760m or did you completley disable it. if you disabled it you need to turn on the intel graphics then turn the 760m back on. If you uninstalled just use intel graphics and install drivers.
