I'm looking for a new graphics card, as my current one (GeForce GT 430) is overheating, and I'd rather upgrade than fix a low-quality card.

I'm currently looking at the Radeon R7 265: http://goo.gl/dsWBwc

Since the new card will draw more power, I assume I'll need a now power supply. My current one is an EartWatts 380w.

I'd like to know if anyone has any suggestions for PSUs, as well as any issues with the card I'm looking at (will it fit in my case).

MY HARDWARE:
Nvidia GeForce GT 430
AMD Phenom II X6 1045T
8GB Kingston RAM (x2)
Antec EarthWatts PSU (Dimensions: 3.4" x 5.9" x 5.5")
GA-970A-UD3 Motherboard
DVD-ROM Drive
500gb 7200rpm Hard Drive

If you're looking into the 265 I would just go for the extra bump to the R9 270.
More shader clocks will give that extra little bump for some games.

Sapphire R9 270 -=- $154.99 ($144.99 after MIR)

And for the power supply, it all depends on the case.
But as always I would usually go for a modular PSU. Cut down on cables and better management.

Corsair CX600M -=- $79.99

What kind of case do you have?

I have a Tiveco Ghost series case: http://tiveco.co/products/tower-cases/ghost.html

I checked out that power supply.
Its dimensions are 5.9" x 3.4" x 6.3"
My current power supply's dimensions are 3.4" x 5.9" x 5.5"

Will the power supply you recommended fit correctly?

How do you know your PSU isn't sufficient for the R7 265.

The 750ti has similar performance and price to the r7 265 and your present psu would work fine.

If the case is normal Mid-tower case size, the power supply will fit.

I've had good experiences with a few customers' Earthwatts PSU's. They're pretty solid.
But with that kind of set up, 380 watts should be just about enough to get you by.

UPDATE

I did some research and I'm probably getting the GTX 750 ti.
It's really efficient, and I'm not looking for really great graphics, just a card that runs more
games than my current one.

For my understanding, if I get a 750 ti, my 380 watt power supply will work?

Yes, your PSU should work just fine. As long as you haven't seen any inefficiencies in it's stability it should do.

The power consumption of the 750 ti is lower than the 270. 68w>144w
