Multi Monitor Graphics card

Suggestions on a Multi monitor graphics card. I'am not a gamer but have a need for multiple monitors. I need to support 3 to 4 monitors on each on my pc's. I need suggestions on what to graphic card or cards to purchase. I am on a budget as well.

Not absolutely sure about Nvidia,but all the R7 and R9 series GPUs higher than the R7 250 support up to three monitors,without needing DisplayPort,on a single card. Up to 6 with Display Port.

As long as they have the correct connections,eg; 1 HDMI and 2 DVI(most commonly).

The Sapphire Flex series HD 7000 also had this support.

Edit: This R7 260x has 2 DVI+HDMI+DisplayPort and will run multimonitors just fine,even light eyefinity gaming if you were inclined.

What slots do you have available? 4 screen support requires either a display port adapter, or two cards, the second option is the cheapest if you have the space for it. You can run two cards independently(not CF/SLI) and they can each support their full compliment of monitors, so you could get 2 5450s for a total of $66 and have 4 screen support for less than a card that can do 4 screens by itself

I have currently have only one card installed GeForce 8400 installed in the 1 x PCIe 2.0 x16 (blue) (and 1 spare 8400 not installed). The MB is an ASUS M5 A97 http://www.asus.com/us/Motherboards/M5A97_EVO/. If the 8400's wont meet my needs I will purchase the the ones you suggested, just thought the 8400's that I have might work. What say you
So in installing 2 5450"s in my machine which slots would I use ?

The 8400s will do just fine, both of them are capable of supporting two monitors, put the second one in the black PCI-e 16x slot and you should just be able to plug in the other two screens and be done with it.
