Hello!
I'm about to buy a laptop for my sister and I'm going to replace the HDD with an SSD.
The laptop is the ASUS N550JV-DB71 and the SSD will be about ~500gb.
I'm here to make sure I understand the procedure correctly:
first I connect the SSD to the Asus using an adapter ( http://www.amazon.com/StarTech-com-3-0-Inch-2-5-Inch-Drive-Adapter/dp/B00HJZJI84/ref=sr_1_1?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1407710074&sr=1-1&keywords=usb+sata-III+adapter );
then I use a program to clone everything stored in the HDD to the SSD;
lastly I replace the HDD with the SSD following a tutorial ( http://youtu.be/BFTEJm9fHT8 ).
That's all, right?
Additional questions:
which SSD would you recommend from amazon?
which program would you recommend for the cloning?
