Hello, I have been having problems with trying to play games on my HP ENVY 15 Notebook PC E3S20UA#ABA due to a low performance GPU, and people have told me that it is not possible to upgrade it's graphics performance or install a new GPU in any way, and people have told me that I could, and that I should. I have no idea which one is true, so I came here. Buying this notebook to play games sounds like a bad idea, I know, but it was fine for a while for the games that I was playing.

Now here is the question: Is it possible to upgrade my GPU or install a new dedicated one in ANY way? If I can, what GPU should I get and how should I install it? As long as it fits in the budget. The budget is 1-100 USD, and I need at least a decent GPU, such as running Payday 2 and/or Just Cause 2 on medium or high settings.

SPECS
CPU: Intel Core i5 3230M
MOTHERBOARD: I'm not sure.
MEMORY: DDR3, 8 GB
CURRENT GPU: Intel HD Graphics 4000. (Integrated)
OS: Win. 8.1 (Upgraded from Win. 8.)

More Info: Please give me a reliable, well-known website, preferably Amazon.
This would be my first time upgrading, so please be specific.
This notebook does NOT have a disc drive, so please give a website to get the drivers with the recommended GPU.

Thank you, I'm looking forward for a response. :)

Solution
There was this one gimmick way a few years back, an external PCI lane, but the lane itself cost 100 dollars, plus it needed a PSU. Never really worked, dont think they make them anymore.

So no, there is no way to upgrade your laptop other than ram or the HDD/SSD. Some very high end laptops have some upgrade path, but none of those are under 2-3k.

That is strange, I've heard of people who upgraded their normal non-2k worth laptop before. Oh well, gonna have to get a decent desktop, instead. Thanks.
