Hey guys I know the 9500gt is ancient but I still run it. When my pc is idle with nothing running my gpu clocks are at the max even with zero load. I have used GPU-Z and it showed the core clocks at max even with no load. Also my fan speed never increases past 33% under heavy load.

Any help would be aprecciated

Solution
the 9000 series did not have a ability to drop the clocks to save energy so nothing to worry about there.

as for the fan, if you have any fan controlling software installed make sure it is not keeping the fan at 33%. Next you can try downloading MSI afterburner and setting a new fan curve that will up the fan to a certain % at a certain temp. This will fix the issue if there is an issue with the fan controller in the Driver/Bios.
