SSD or Motherboard problem?

So I recently replaced a single SSD with 2 new OCZ Vertex 460 240gb drives and configured them in raid 0 to use as a boot drive. I'm not sure what causes the issue but my computer will freeze up or blue screen randomly and when I turn it back on the raid controller on the motherboard will list the 2 SSD's out of order, 1 being listed before my other raid array and 1 after and it just goes to the bios. Upon restarting the computer again it usually goes back in order and the computer boots fine and everything is normal until it crashes again. Running an Error Check on the SSD raid array doesn't give me any problems and says it's fine. I'm not sure if there is an easy way to test if it is a bad SSD without wiping and checking them individually or if it's possibly my motherboard raid controller having a problem.

Motherboard is a Asus Maximus VI Hero, bios and everything is updated.

Any help/suggestions would be appreciated.

The SSD's are plugged into the 1 and 2 SATA ports of the motherboard which are the Intel z87 ports the other 2 HDs are on 3 and 4 after the ssd's. Using the motherboards raid setup for them and Windows 8.1 pro 64bit.
