I would get more RAM and also a better power supply... I have no experience with Sapphire GPU's but it doesnt seem like a bad GPU... I think it ought to be a pretty good starters gaming computer.

Corsair makes great power supplies, but 430 watts doesnt leave much leeway for any upgrades in the future, I would go with something from 500w to 650w. Don't go with an offbrand Power Supply, stick with things from Cooler Master, Corsair, Rosewill, etc.
The 4GB of memory in your laptop wont work. Laptop RAM and Desktop RAM have a different type of connector slot.

Shouldn't really matter, If you plan on putting a LOT of RAM in this system down the road the 1x8 would leave you more space, but you shouldn't have to or want to. Down the road if you decide to upgrade to 16 a 4x4 would fill all your slots, and I see filling all of the RAM slots a small victory.
