I currently have norton internet security for 249 more days. I am wondering if i should just go with something else since im beginning to not like norton. and it seems to be a resource hog on my computer. Just wondering which i should get. I am looking into Kaspersky internet security 2014 and Bitdefender total security 2014. Is either of these good and less resource hogs then norton? Or something else maybe? thanks for any advice.

Well i found some good deals on ebay for both of these, but i just want something thats less a resource hog and keeps my computer safe. also should i keep my malwarebytes free if i get one of these 2?

I have been using TrendMicro's Titanium Internet Security suite for many years, going back to the days it was called PCCillin. It's easy to setup, you don't know it's there unless it catches something or gives you the monthly report. It also includes things like a system tuner, Firewall booster and works on 3-devices (i.e. Computers, phones, tablets).

Another nice thing is that you can buy an old version and use the license code for the latest version and save a lot of money. I just bought a copy of the 2007 version (for $5.99 on Amazon) and am good for a year using the 2014 software. I don't know if the others do this, but I know TrendMicro does.

i use avast free version for my av.its lite on resources and is one of the top rated free avs.it also stacks up well against the paid avs.i have the windows firewall enabled and i run malwarebytes pro version.mines a lifetime licence but now its by the year.my browser (comodo dragon) has secure dns as well.since setting this up (three years now),ive not had one problem.the trick with security is to have a layered setup.ie av,malware tool, firewall.

malwarebytes pro comes with realtime scanning.the free version doesnt.there is no perfect solution to this and when it comes right down to it any of the avs recommended here will likely do the job.like a lot of things, people have their favorites.

Okay, i will have to get the premium v2 of malwarebytes asap. Now hopefully it will work with the next internet security i get. If i get bitdefender total security 3 pcs 1 year, can that cover my computer and android phone? i seen kaspersky can but could not get a clear answer for bitdefender. im assuming it can but would like to make sure.
