I bought the game Injustice: Gods Among Us for pc the other day and I successfully installed it onto my pc (windows 8). When I tried to open the exe, it says that bink32.dll is missing from the computer. After reading some solutions online I then copied the bink32.dll file into C:\Windows\System, System32 and SysWOW64.

after i finished, I tried to open the game again and another error message popped up saying that the fmod.dll was missing, so I copied the dll again from my application directory in System, System32 and SysWOW64. I did this one by one for all the dlls in the application directory and I tried to open it again. This time, it said "Bink32.dll is installed in the system directory - it must be installed in the application directory", but the dlls originally came from the app directory anyway. I couldn't figure out what the problem was. Please Help! I really want to play this game.

Solution

I got this from a comment off of the torrent on kickass.to. Delete the bink32.dll from the system directory. Then install the Redist as listed above. Tell me how it works after that :>

I'm not an expert at what goes on inside a drive, so can you please be a little more specific? Do I have to take the .dlls out of the system directories? Or do I just leave the .dlls where they are?

I tried what you said and it's not working. I removed all the .dlls from the sys dir and installed both x64 an x86, but then it says the bink2w32.dll is missing, so noww idk what to do.

btw My friend torrented this game and it's not working for him either, we have the same computers. Would it make a difference if the game was torrented?

There is no reason to be mucking around with DLLs on Windows, ever. It's the application developer's responsibility to make sure that any libraries that the application depends on are either installed before hand or are installed along with the program and in the correct location. In other words, don't ever touch System32 or SysWOW64. If you put anything in either of those, delete it.

The bink32.dll file should be in the same location as the game's main executable. According to some sources it may be in a <game root>/System folder, copy the file to <game root>.
