HI,

I have windows 7 64 bit. I have a 120 gb Ocz vector 150 ssd When I put windows 7 home premium on it, it created a 100 mb system reserved healthy active primary partition right in front of the c drive in disk mangment in the control panel. I'm wondering how I can get that system reserved partition mean that space merged back onto the c drive. so that the system reserved partition no longer shows up in the disk mangment?
Sorry for the spelling mistakes!

Thank you Kinnyr90

Oh btw. It's no unallocated disk space.

Yeah your right I'm being picky. But could you tell me anyways, so that I can make up my own mind on weather I should do it or not. If the solution is too involved then it's not worth it. I like your keen comment. lol.

Thanks Kinnyr90

I did it I transfered the boots files to the c drive using easy bcd It was easy. Then I deleted the volume on the allocated system reserved 100 mb Partition and it went to 101 Unallocated disk space. restarted the computer then I used partition assistant standard edition and I merged the unallocated disk space with the c drive I hit apply and I had to restart the computer and it ran 2 tests and boom it was done back in windows The system reserve is gone. I thought when you installed windows. It was supposed to create 100mb of unallocated disk space?. Also I put in the windows 7 cd cause I was going to do a repair disk. And it said This action is not comaptable with the version of windows that I have. Any reason why I get that message? I also Hit f8 on the keyboard and I did the repair computer that way and it worked. So I'm confused a little. The reapir computer worked but found no problems. Which is good.

Thanks

It will create that 100mb space on drives hooked-up to your computer. Before you install Windows, disconnect any other hard drives. After you log into Windows for the first time, you can then connect any other hard drives.
BTW, you are ALL over the place with your punctuation and it makes it totally difficult to follow what you are saying. You say one thing, then it sounds like you are saying the opposite of what you just said.

I'm sorry for this before I installed windows onto the brand new ssd drive I unplugged all 3 of my other (non ssd drives). I put in the windows 7 cd and I just hit the install button and installed windows.when windows was finished installing I went for my windows updates and got all of them first. Then I noticed that When I went into the control panel and went to administrative tools, then computer management, then disk management. I saw at the bottom disk 0 basic 111.79 gb online. Right next to it in that long rectangular box it said 100 mb system, primary, Healthy partition. It did not say anything about boot, page file, Or the partition being marked as active. And it was not unallocated disk space. It was allocated. Still I did not want to take the chance of trying to merge that disk space back onto the c drive and then deleting the 100 mb partition. Cause I was not sure if my computer would boot after that. so I found a software called easy bcd. It from a company called Neo Smart Technologies. which allowed me to copy the boot files from the 100mb partition to the c drive. I think the boot files were already on the c drive anyways. So I hope that if the boot files were already on the c drive that they just got overwritten with new ones. Instead of creating double. So easy bcd did it's thing and restarted the computer twice. to set up the boot files onto the c drive and it was done. So back in Windows I went back into the Disk management. and I deleted the volume where the 100mb system recovery partition was. and it turned it into Unallocated disk space. Which is normal for it to do. The I used a software called partition assistant. Standard edition and I just merged The unallocated disk space onto the c drive and that was it. Done

No the 100 MB was created after I first installed windows on the ssd drive. At first now that I remember. It started as Unallocated disk space and then I used Ease us partition and I made it so that the 100 MB Unallocated disk space was now allocated. So What I did worked there is no more resereved partition. I think that is just a back up anyways. Cause when I put windows 7 on the c drive the ssd. I had all the other drives in my computer unplugged so there would be no conflicts anyways. So It worked the space is recovered back on the c drive.
Everything is fixed.

Thanks Anyways.
