I have a Gigabyte 990FXA-UD3 mobo with 2x4gb G-Skill RAM (GSKILL F3-14900CL9D-8GBXL) and I've been having some memory related BSODs recently. I had to change some settings in my BIOS since my computer was initially running the RAM at 1600 rather than the 1866 advertised.

I first ran Memtest86+ on each module to make sure the sticks weren't bad ( https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/5772230/bsod3/modul... and https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/5772230/bsod3/modul... ).

I wanted to make sure I have the correct settings. I used the guide at G-Skill (http://www.gskill.us/forum/showthread.php?t=11742). Here are my memory and voltage settings:

Have I set up my BIOS settings correctly?

In general, you can just choose "XMP" for a profile, save the settings, test with Memtest and you are good.

It appears like this is what you've done so if you have no issues now then YES everything is fine.

Now use the system and enjoy! If you have problems or questions we'll be right here.

So I'm all set then? No changes needed?

Looks good, if you do encounter problems/BSODs simply raise the DRAM and/or VTT voltage just a tad ( up to + 0.05) on each and i should stabilize
