I just put my new rig together and had a strange problem. I tried to boot and nothing, figured a loose connection but I found nothing. After some digging I pulled the 8 pin ATX plug and it turned on enough to spin the fans and display the 00 cpu code. I tired several different cables that were PCI 6 pin connectors with a +2. My question is the PCI to ATX configuration power cable different?

Solution
you may have a bad video card or the mb bios and your ram might have an issue. try pulling the gpu and all the ram but one stick and make sure with the rog/usb flash back you have the newest bios file on the mb. also check that the cpu is seated and there no bent pins under it.
