Hello, just starting receiving this the other day, when i'm playing a game (right now it's only been Hearthstone) I close out of the game and windows starts freezing, cant really click on anything and programs will not close. After a bit an error message comes up saying that Windows has stopped responding. I hard restart the computer and on the post screen says "Overclock failed press F1 to enter BIOS" Funny thing is I have no overclock on my computer, everything is set to factory defaults. This computer is only about 4-5 months old as well, all brand new. How do I find out what is the cause here?

Windows 8.1
Samsung EVO 1TB SSD
GTX 780 Ti
Asus Rampage IV Black edition
i7-4930k
16GB Corsair ram (forgot which kind)

What is YOUR bios version as well?

New BIOS updates only reference the most important changes made to the revision in most cases. Sometimes there are also other minor differences and I've seen them be the difference in a malfunctioning system. And I've also seen it not be. Also, sometimes, rarely, a BIOS image might be corrupted and either a reinstallation of the image or flashing a newer image corrects the problem. Again, not always, but often enough. I'd run through the basics. Test your hard drives with Seatools for windows. It's free and you can google and download it here:

http://www.seagate.com/support/downloads/item/seatools-win-master/

Test your memory with memtest86_+:

Run a system scan:

and make absolutely sure you have the latest drivers from either your unit manufacturer, motherboard manufacturer or the manufacturer of the chipset on the device. Quite often the drivers supplied and automatically installed by windows update can cause issues.
