Hello everyone,

i'm having a problem recently with BSOD when i'm running photoshop cs5.1 software with bamboo pen and touch attached. and i don't know what's the cause of it.

the computer i was currently working with, is already an old one, it consist of the following:

Asus p5q Motherboard
4x2gb OCz platinum (currently oc'ed to 1066mhz/2.1v)
intel core 2 quad q8200
palit gts 250
600w modular aerocool psu
1xWD caviar black 1tb and 1xWD caviar blue 500gb
a usb-input both mouse and keyboard (a4tech)

OS: Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit

i was on vacation, leaving the pc unused for two months. and when i came back, it started to become like this. i already checked the hardware (disconnected all hardwares from the case and put it back, cleaning it along from dust). i did reformat the unit as well, ran the Memory Diagnostics Tool.used chkdsk for hard disk issues and no issues were detected, used HWmonitor for temperatures and i saw it doing fine. and still i ended up on this very question.

i even throttled the gpu for about 20mins opening two games at once with max graphic settings available, and still no sign of bsod, or system/application crash. here are screenies provided before i have reformatted my hdd's..

here's the link of the dump file:

i would be grateful for answers, because i don't know where to look for it.

Solution
in the memory dump provided I see a intel CPU calling a bugcheck 0x124 WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR
8 seconds after the machine rebooted.

This error generally indicates that the power/clock to the cpu is incorrect. but please note: IF you were playing a game and your screen went blank and you got this bugcheck. It means your power to the CPU dropped too low and your system reset but the power was not stable before the CPU started running again. This is common when you have under powered GPU cards and poor power supply (or the supplemental GPU power is not connected).

this error is also common with overclocked system and if your CPU fan stops working or has too much dust and is running slow.
fix: stop overclocking if you are, check...

i haven't overclocked anything but just dimms (which states its okay to oc to 1066mhz/2.1v ), the cpu has deepcool ice blade pro for its cooler, and gpu at deepcool v4000.. i keep checking the fans and temp still and its okay, though i'm not sure about the power. here's a screenshot at 20mins render test
Untitled-1.jpg

i just did bought the psu this april, and it was 80+ bronze modular psu.
i have another blue screen last night, triggered when i opened a movie, it did hang for half a second (at the start of the movie when loaded) and it went off. it seldom happens from that but it did. i might need further checking of dump files. i think i may know the culprit and i'll check it later...

definitely an unstable current into mobo, i checked the mobo and there's a 2x4pin slot, if i remember the p5q's structure: the other 4pin slot is covered. i removed one of it and it went fine.. thank you so much for the dump info..
