Hi, I've had my computer for about 5 years now. Never had a problem with it until recently. I usually watch videos on YouTube and Netflix with ease, but about a week ago while watching my videos the audio and video would become extremely choppy. Like 3 fps choppy, after playing absolutely fine for the first minute of the video. All videos on all sites are doing this now. I usually don't update my computer, but I figured since my video drivers are up to date I should be fine. Does anybody have any solutions? They would be greatly appreciated.

first go into internet options -> programs and disable pretty much everything
Uninstall java/flash activex and then go back to the site, it should point you at what you need to download to play the videos
Its unlikely it is video drivers

I've updated both Java and Flash yesterday so they should be up to date. And Im using Chrome, but I checked on IE also and the problem persists there also. Not really sure what to do, it doesn't seem like anyone had this exact problem before on any forums.

I went to IE and then went to Internet Options, but how do I disable everything? And what am I disabling?

Reboot your router and modem, it may be an issue with the internet connection instead of the computer. You do not want to disable random stuff in internet options unless you know exactly what the settings do.
You may want to contact the ISP they may be able to check things on their end and bounce your modem (basically reset it on their end) and get a new modem to you if needed. I had to have a modem replaced myself to fix a similar issue, I would be stuck at about a 1.5mb speed.

Hi Nachowagon,
I believe the latest flash update caused these problems.
This worked for me.......
play video (you tube was mine)
right click on screen
go to settings.......This brings up Adobe flash player settings
unclick "enable hardware acceleration
"

Hope this works for you! :)

Had the same problem when Java 7 keep popping up a reminder "Java 7 update 51". My You tube and Netflix videos stop working after I updated my Java 7. So, I restore my Computer back to the date before I updated my Java 7 and You tube and Netflix are back to working condition again like before. I don't know why Java 7 disabled my Videos but I will not update it again until I find out why it disabled my you tube and Netflix videos. Everything is working fine without the update anyway.

For anyone still wondering and having this problem themselves, My issue seemed to be within my graphics card. I tried to update it using windows but that didnt fix it. I had to go to AMD's website and dowload their specific "amd driver downloader". Problem was completely fixed after a new driver update using that program and a quick restart.
