Hi there,
Ive been using an old Asus P5Q as my media pc up until recently when I went to turn it on one day and it was just dead. Took it to a friend who works in computers and he said the power supply was dead, I ordered a new Corsair PSU, wired it all up correctly, went to turn it on and BANG! PSU blew up.
Ive now bought another PSU but am afraid of blowing this one now but Im at a loss as to why the Corsair blew as it did and if the Mobo caused it how can I check it before I install another PSU?
I would really like to keep the Mobo as Ive paid quite a bit for new graphics card, memory etc and prior to all this it ran like a dream.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
