Install Oracle VM Virtual Box Error

I am trying to install Oracle VM Virtual Box, but I get this error when I try to start the program after installing : Failed to install NtCreateSection monitor : ff 25 80 d0 7c 0 0 0 f 5 c3 f ff 44 0 0
(rc = -8)

I don't know what this means, or how to fix it. If anyone can assist, it is greatly appreciated. Thank you very much in advance.

My system:

AMD Ak 5800k
AsRock MoBo
Gigabyte 6770 Dual Graphics GPU
GSkill Ares 8GB Ram
Samsung 840 120gb SSD
Samsung 1tb HDD
Corsair CXM 430w PSU
Windows 8

I tried uninstalling av software, etc, but no dice. So I tried version 4.12 and it worked, but I am not sure what to do now. The Virtual Box window is black and looks like a command line window. It says : EDD: Error 0c00 reading sector 895618
No DEFAULT or UI configuration directive found!
Boot: _

I think I am just overlooking something at this point, due to not having any experience with VirtualBox and running a Linux Distro.
But, I am further than I was, lol. Thanks again for any and all assistance.

You're going to need to consult the documentation. From the looks of it you're trying to boot a VM before you've fully configured it and installed an OS.

I am going through the manual. I am following it step by step, but so far I have no had success. I am not installing the OS properly, but I'm working at it.

I finally have it working. It's a little buggy, so I need to adjust some settings, but it works. Thanks again ex_bubblehead, I really appreciate your assistance.
