Hey guys, I'm really confused as to the difference between a black edition and non black edition GA-Z97X-UD5H. I can get the non black edition and i5 4690k for 351.79 at Microcenter, but the black edition will cost me about $400 to $410. Can someone tell me the differences?

black edition mobos have been burn in tested for 1 whole week so you absolutely know 100% that your getting a board that won't fail.

But from what newegg.com's video said about gigabytes testing, only less than 10% of the test systems fail, that includes the power suppily, cpu, graphics card and RAM so it's even less for the motherboard. So a non black will still be good for you.

But it shouldn't be that expensive, here in the U.S it's only $200 and around $170 for the non black version.

As mentioned they are heavily tested for a week before being boxed. But additionally, Black Edition gets a longer warranty. Plus you get to sign up to the Black Edition members club to have the chance to win some hardware and a trip to Taiwan for Computex 2015... not bad in my opinion...
