When i'm playing any kind of game, even a 2d game, my CPU usage drops down to ~10% from 40% (For exemple). This makes my game lag and sometimes I get even arround 5-10FPS when the average is around 90FPS, for exemple, in BF4 or WATCHDOGS. Please help this is a brand new pc. I built it by my own hand.

Specs and Temperatures after playing.

Do you have this overclocked and those CPU temps is that from Idle? It is possible it is overheating during gaming and you are experience some throttling. Or possibly GPU. Have you been able to see temps while in the games ?

Looks more like a GPU temp issue than a CPU usage thing.

If GPU hits a thermal slowdown point (I thought usually closer to 100C, but 88 still seems very high) it will reduce frequency and power usage until the temps drop.

Try using something like MSI's afterburner or the nvidia utilities to maunally lock the GPU fan to 100%. It will be loud, but if you play like that and no slowdowns - you will know it was the GPU that was the issue. If this "solves" the problem, you will need to look into better air flow in the case and set the fan to a more aggressive (higher fan speed at lower temps) to try and keep it from reoccuring.

This is not oveclocked or at least i didnt. I used afterburned to put GPU Fans Speed at 100%, played and max temp while playing was 70ºC and it lagged like before.

Do you have starcraft 2?

For some reason it has one very, very nice piece of information that it shows with your current framerate - I forget the exact wording but it will say something about resource stalls for Xms in the last min.

I have an i5-2500K @ 4.4GHz and a 6950 GPU - for some reason my PC will often studder for a half second or so while gaming. I have yet to isolate the cause, but everytime it would do that in SC2 it will say 300-3000ms of stalled time in SC2. With my specs, it shouldn't be happening, but I think something in my setup or the windows configuration is making the computer wait for info or otherwise interrupts the CPU/GPU and causes the lag.

There may be other applications/games that have a similar info display - but SC2 is the only place I have actually seen the "resource stalls" measured this way.

Okay, I have solution. To fix this FPS drop issue we need to disable, in bios, "AMD Turbo Core Technology". It fixes everything about the fps drops. I hope that helps! Cya and Thank you everybody who tried to help me. :)
